Eddy Laguerre, Esq.
Founder and Managing Attorney
Eddy Laguerre is the owner and founder of Laguerre Law Firm, PLLC. He is a proactive attorney who makes sure his clients receive the best possible outcome for their case. Eddy is one of the rare attorneys in the US who is licensed to practice law both in the US and in Haiti. He is also admitted to practice in the federal court of the Southern District of Florida.
Eddy is a former state prosecutor for the Florida Division of Condominiums, Timeshares, and Mobile Homes. In that role, he represented the state of Florida in prosecuting many multi-million dollars condominiums buildings in Florida who failed to comply with state laws. He also participated in drafting and analyzing new bills aimed at updating the laws regulating condominium properties in Florida, especially in the wake of the tragic collapse of the Surfside Condominium in Miami, Florida in 2021.
Eddy frequently intervenes in the medias, both in Haiti and in the US, addressing hot legal topics. His legal opinions have been published by the Voice of America, Radio Tele Caraibes in Haiti, and journal Le Nouvelliste, the largest and most prestigious journal in Haiti.
Eddy recently participated at the Florida Division of Administrative Hearings Trial Academy where he received an award from Florida’s main administrative court for presenting the best direct examination of a witness during a competition opposing many other Florida attorneys.
Eddy is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Tallahassee Bar Association, and the Haitian Lawyers Association. He graduated from Florida State University College of Law. He is fluent in French and Creole. Eddy communicates regularly with each client, he fights for them, and helps them achieve their goals.
